Illustrations

I've been pretty busy the last few days and I don't really feel like writing anything much today. So I'll just leave you with a couple of (old-ish) illustrations.

Busy, Busy Bee and a Lamb and a Bear

I have to go off to work (Cakesniffer). Hooray, I can finally ride my bike! SPRING! It's s lovely to have my balcony door open and hear the birds sing. Too bad I have to clean up... Well, at least I can put my carpets and blankets and pillows outside without them actually freezing.

Here are a couple of dears for you to look at, also looking for a home.

A little lamb who is very mischiveous. And...

A bear who enjoys apples.

My first attempt at a mohair stuffie, nothing even close to Lynn's lovely, lovely creatures, but I tried.

I'm off!

Mister Sebastian and My Home

Okay, I realise it's friday (here), but I think I can still get away with a 'corners of my home' post.

So here we are, one corner I really love. Three different hooks, I have many more scattered around but these are my favourites. I really enjoy buying things with the same principal that are very different from each other. It's lovely to place mismatched items like these around and see them forming a group.

As I mentioned before, I adore flowers. here are some i put in a dish, after using them as 'placecards' in eggcups (a la Martha Stewart) for easter dinner. The color combination is so fresh and spring-y. Wonderful!

And last but not least, Mister Sebastian Rosekeeper, in search of a flower-friendly home.

Miss Annabelle Button

Hooray, I finally managed to make myself a plushie pattern! I realise it still needs some altering, the arms are too hihg up and I need to find a good way t sew the head on, but that's pretty easy to fix. I've been wanting to make a more sophisticated plush for ages(i.e. not just sewing two pieces of felt together), but I just could't find a pattern that worked for me. I put this one together looking at some teddy patterns and various stuffed animals. I have some lovely mohair fabric I'm dying to make a little friend out of. I'll eventually be putting them up for sale and will probably also make custom ones, if anyone is interested.

So Miss Annabelle here is the prototype, and not for sale.(As it turns out, the felt fabric I used wasn't the strongest and the quality isn't all that great either, hence the 'furryness'.) But please, If anyone would like one like her (or any other kind of animal for that matter) please contact me with your wishes!

Coco and Flowers

Gosh I love flowers. I bought a pot of blue grape hyacinths and some yellow tulips the other day. And today i bought some wonderful pink potted roses. It makes me so happy when I get home and have flowers waiting for me. It just makes my home much more, well... home-y. I think I like Old English Roses and Ranunculus best, but that's no surprise since i love absolutely everything English gardens and houses contain.(I'm sure Alicia would agree!)

Here are a couple of pics of my dear little Coco. I finished her today.

I made a little cat aswell but it's too dark to take pictures now and my batteries are dead. Tomorrow then. I hope it's sunny.

A Strawberry and LouLou

This is LouLou. She is pink and about 6.5 inches tall. She loves roses and bathing in teacups. If anyone would like to give here a home I'm sure she would be happy.

The other day I noticed I didn't have a nice pincushion so I made this little strawberry for all my pretty pins to rest in.

Easter Copycat

I'm having a couple of friends over for Easter and for once I actually managed to make the invites in time, so that I can actually send them. I was wondering what I should put on the cards when I stumbled upon these wonderful plush bunnies by Bella Dia. So I made a gluable 2D version of them. (I hope you aren't mad!!) I also customised the envelopes with some beatiful paper I bought the other day.

I'm not usually one for copying things directly, but I just can't get over the lovely things that are out there. Alicia Paulson made this wonderful Christmas wreath. Its so colourful and amazingly fresh that I just have to make one for my door. But I assure you it will be different. Much more springtime-y. I'll post pics when it's finished.

Next time I'll be posting, it will be something orginal. Promise!
